Intimidating Glory

I was just reading through this part of the Old Testament in the One Year Bible and it reminded me of what the Lord showed me last year. So I figured I would reblog it. God Bless.

The Last Hiker

God told Moses work with the people to build him a tabernacle.

A tent

filled with His glory.

“And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.” Exodus 25:8

That He might dwell–shakan–abide, settle, reside, tabernacle


among them.

“Now on the day that the tabernacle was raised up, the cloud covered the tabernacle, the tent of the Testimony; from evening until morning it was above the tabernacle like the appearance of fire.” Numbers 9:15

God showed up

The tabernacle was a simple tent.

Oh it contained treasure, but to the onlooker it was nothing spectacular.

And yet it contained glorious treasure.

Like the Lord Jesus.

It looked simple, it contained divinity.

And it was covered by a cloud of fire.
