You are the Good
You speak . . .
Your sheep hear You . . .
They will not follow the voice of another
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” Jesus used this illustration, but they did not understand the things which He spoke to them.
Lord, how is it that so many in the church are following hirelings and strangers?
How is it that we don’t notice the voice is strange?
characterized by New Age philosophy . . .
Lies . . .
Unbiblical . . .
How come we can’t tell?
Is it that we are no longer listening to Your voice?
In our quiet times–alone–in Your Word
Is it that we are ignoring the prompting in our spirit,
Your Spirit–calling us to question
There is so much deception . . .
So much confusion . . .
Have we chosen to put ourselves under the expertise of man . . .
counter-reformed . . .
Not “able to understand” Your Word
Is the church content with human shepherds?
Is our deception, our judgment?
Have we chosen this?
Heaped up for ourselves teachers . . .
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears
–2 Timothy 4:3
It is time Lord for us to get our ears checked.
Are we hearing?
Are we listening?
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
