Following Him Up the Mountain

Golly Gee. There came a time in my life, recently, where the illusion ceased and I saw reality for what it was. I saw that I had placed too much trust in men.

And man let me down.

How could I expect any different?

The Book says, “Cursed is the one who puts his trust in man.”

But when I see that good men lie, and better men cover it up, and trusting men just laugh and trust and laugh and clap.

It is disheartening. disgusting.

I pulled back from the pack.

Isolation.

FEAR. Confusion. ANGER.

Let God be true and every man a liar.

Let God be TRUE and every man a LIAR.

Let GOD be true and EVERY man . . .

LET GOD . . .

So all I know, is GOD is TRUE. His WORD is without FAIL.

And we are all DUST, grass that withers and dies.

We will ALL stand before Him one day and behold Him. We will all give an account.

Stand, corrupt and contradictory, in the light of truth

and NOT HIDE anything

It will all come out.

All those who lied, who abused, who hid, who covered, who peddled, who twisted, who hurt . . .

the bride.

It will be made right one day.

Let God be true and every man a liar . . .

Even if everyone else is a liar, God is true. As the Scriptures say about him,

“You will be proved right in what you say,
and you will win your case in court.”

“But,” some might say, “our sinfulness serves a good purpose, for it helps people see how righteous God is. Isn’t it unfair, then, for him to punish us?” (This is merely a human point of view.)  Of course not! If God were not entirely fair, how would he be qualified to judge the world?  “But,” someone might still argue, “how can God condemn me as a sinner if my dishonesty highlights his truthfulness and brings him more glory?”  And some people even slander us by claiming that we say, “The more we sin, the better it is!” Those who say such things deserve to be condemned.

I too have left the pack…to be with the pack is to be deceived, or at least to be in a position of compromise. I choose the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob..Creator of all things. If I must walk alone than so be it. You have a fellow hiker!
